The SMHT holds a protective farming easement on this 31 acre property on Route 12B North of Hamilton, New York.  A sign with the SMHT logo and the word "PROTECTED" marks the location. Properties under protective easement have restrictions that run with the deed on the land.  The current and all future owners are obligated to follow these restrictions.  The terms of the easement are very specific and are unique to the property.
